Inquiry has been a memorable topic, since that I have learnt many interesting facts and information in this subject.. In the !st semester our term topics have been, simple machines and natural disasters.

I learn't heaps of information about simple machines in term 1, it being a great get to know other people subject. As a grand finale project we were set a task to create a rube goldberg machine. I paired up with Hannah and we started straight away. This task was very fun, but our plans didnt go as well as we had planned. We needed to successfully crack an egg into a bowl, and the rube goldberg machine needed to contain at least fine unrepetitive steps.OUR RUBE GOLDBERG MACHINE.ppt

I have to admit I didnt enjoy the natural disasters topic a heap, but the experiments that we tested were awesome. I learnt a few things that hopefully will help in future use. I now know how most natural disasters occur and why they happen. However we didnt spend much time in inquiry that term, because it was disrupted by many other more important things. The main end of term project we did was that you had to write an information text about a type of natural disaster scale. I chose the Fujita scale which is a scale to measure the severity of a cyclone. Fujita scale.doc

It's the start of term 3 now and we are learning about Australian history. I think that this will be an interesting topic, becaue i dont know about autralian/world history, but i would like to know more about Australia and it's background.
